Dr. Darshan Patel and Dr. John Paul went to high school together in Garland. They watched working parents in their own neighborhood put off dental visits because the hours did not fit, the price was unclear, or nobody at the front desk spoke Spanish. In 2017 they opened one office on Lake June Rd to do it differently. There are three now.
Most dental groups open where the numbers work. This one opened where its founders are from. Dr. Patel and Dr. Paul grew up in Garland, sat in Garland ISD classrooms, and knew from the inside how a dental visit could feel rushed, expensive and vaguely humiliating. They also knew what it costs a family to lose a Tuesday morning to an appointment.
So the practice got built around the friction points rather than around the procedures. Evening and Saturday appointments. Medicaid and CHIP taken seriously, not as a token. A bilingual team at every office. General, pediatric and orthodontic care in the same building, so one trip covers the household.

2017, Balch Springs. The first office, on Lake June Rd. Still open, still busy.
2019, Mesquite. Tripp Rd, in Town Centre Village near Town East.
2022, Garland. W Centerville Rd, in the city both founders grew up in.

Dr. Darshan Patel
Co-founder, general and family dentistry
Co-founder of the practice. Undergraduate study at the University of Texas at Austin, dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry. Licensed by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and a member of the American Dental Association. His clinical focus is family and preventive dentistry.
Co-founder of the practice. BBA from the University of Texas at Austin, then a DMD from Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2014. Named a D Magazine Best Dentist in 2026. He treats general and restorative cases across every age group.
Board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, a credential that requires a completed orthodontic residency plus examination and that a minority of practicing orthodontists hold. Treats children, teens and adults.
Lead dentist at the Mesquite office, practicing general and cosmetic dentistry. She oversees day-to-day clinical care on Tripp Rd and is known for presenting every treatment option, and its cost, before work begins.
Practices preventive and restorative dentistry at the Balch Springs office. She treats patients in English and Spanish, and is regularly requested by patients who have avoided dental care because of anxiety.

Licensed and in good standing
Our dentists are licensed by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. Dr. Patel is a member of the American Dental Association.
Board-certified orthodontics
Braces and clear aligners are handled by a board-certified orthodontist, not by a general dentist who also does aligners on the side.
Every age under one roof
Toddlers through seniors, general through orthodontic, in the same building. Families are not split across three practices.
Bilingual as standard
English and Spanish at all three offices. Nobody should have to bring a child along to translate a treatment plan.
Medicaid and CHIP, genuinely

Who founded Inspire Dental & Orthodontics?
Dr. Darshan Patel and Dr. John Paul, two dentists who grew up in Garland and went to high school together there. They opened the first office on Lake June Rd in Balch Springs in 2017, added Mesquite in 2019, and opened the Garland office in 2022.
Do all three offices offer the same services?
Yes. General dentistry, pediatric care, orthodontics and same-day emergency visits are available at Garland, Mesquite and Balch Springs. You are not sent to another office for braces or for a child's first visit.
Is the orthodontist board certified?
Yes. Board certification means passing the American Board of Orthodontics examination on top of completing a full orthodontic residency, which only a minority of practicing orthodontists do. Our orthodontist treats children, teens and adults at all three locations.
Do all your doctors speak Spanish?
Not every doctor, but every office. Bilingual staff work at all three locations, and several of our doctors treat in Spanish directly. Treatment plans, cost estimates and consent forms are explained in whichever language a family prefers.
What insurance do you take?
Texas Medicaid and CHIP for children and adults, plus most major PPO plans including Molina, Fidelis, Liberty Dental and DentaQuest. We file the claim for you. If you have no coverage, we offer CareCredit and in-house payment plans, and you get a written estimate before treatment starts.
